Being Lazy And Winning With Your Marketing

By Coach Roger

Robert A. Heinlein, considered by many as the dean of science fiction writers said, “Progress isn’t made by early risers. It’s made by lazy men trying to find easier ways to do something.”

Bill Gates echoed the same sentiment, saying he would rather hire lazy people to do difficult jobs because they would find an easier way to get it done.

Put into a network marketing perspective where many want a press-a-button-don’t-have-to-do-anything type of business, these icons are on point.

That’s not to say, however, everyone is lazy but there is a large percentage of us who prefer to be hands off. And let’s face it, there are network marketing systems out there promising to do all the heavy lifting so you don’t have to do anything and still make tons of money. But is that realistic? Actually, yes and no.

When I made my first dollar online, it took about a year. A couple of years later and within 30-days of joining an online opportunity that did much of the heavy lifting, I made $4,000 in profit. But to be clear, I worked the business too, I talked to a lot of people and I was consistent. The heavy lifting was done because the company sent me warm leads, which I was essentially paying for anyways.

So if you want to have a profitable home based business and do nothing, that’s not realistic unless you have the funds to outsource 100% of the work. Still, you would have to manage your outsourcing team which really isn’t doing nothing either.

The point is, you can make it easier for yourself by owning your own auto responder or following a system, maybe outsourcing the work or paying for leads to be automatically sent to your web page but regardless, and make no mistake, there is work involved.

The good news is as long as you can set aside some time, even a few hours a week to commit to your business, you will make money, just don’t give up. Check out a mostly done-for-you-system, from my friend and seven figure earner, Patric Chan.
