The short answer is yes. The longer answer is yesssssss. Ok bad joke.
If you are in any type of business, it can be a powerful tool to get your message across whether that be a call back or for your prospects to visit your website. It’s that simple.
Think about it this way: if you saw there was a voice mail on your smartphone, would you listen to it? Of course you would. We all would.
It’s also unobtrusive. One of the best things I love about this marketing tool – and I’ve been using it for three years – is it allows your prospects to decide when to listen to your voice mail and, make no mistake, they WILL listen to your message. But it does give them control of just when to do that; it’s two-way marketing brilliance!
The million dollar question, however, is, is ringless voice mail technology legal? The short answer is yes. The longer answer is it depends. If you’re using it for calling the consumer market who may or may not have requested being on the Do Not Call list (DNC), you could be in a lot of trouble. The FCC could come after you and levy heavy fines. Be careful!
That said, ringless voice mail in of itself IS FCC compliant. It’s best to use it for the business market; that can include network marketers or people who are business opportunity seekers.
I posted this video last year and it should round out your knowledge on how this amazing system works. I’ll even provide Exclusive Content that gives you the key on how to actually use this software – it’s a separate ‘How To’ video tutorial for anyone who buys the product from me. I hope this helps!
One of the best things about starting a new year is being able to look in the rear view mirror and see what goals you hit or missed in 2018 then going for a higher bar or, if necessary, pivoting where applicable.
What if you didn’t quite hit your goals last year? It happens to everyone but what separates successful people from the rest is their relentless push in moving forward, despite hitting obstacles.
I tell my daughters this – I picked this up from Sara Blakely, billionaire creator of Spanx – Sara’s story of her dad ‘high fiving’ her and asking her how many times she failed today. The point being as long as she kept getting up, she was going to win. Obstacles are part of the journey to success, once you get that in your mind you can do anything!
We all have them but they serve us in both good and evil ways. The good news is you can literally change a habit in an instant, my thing was to wake up two hours earlier than I normally did, it takes discipline but it’s worth it and allows you to create a ‘things to do list’ and then execute. Here’s a tip, only put 6 of the most important tasks you need done, it helps you come out with a victory at the end of each day.
Changing your habits in an instant is a mantra Tony Robbins preached when I was a client services director in his organization many moons ago. He preaches this in his seminars today. It’s not easy but it isn’t hard either, just depends on what your goals are and how motivated you are to achieve them. If you want it you can do it, you just have to decide.
While it’s a good idea to subscribe to a few lists to get the 411 on what’s going on in the Internet marketing and business world, if you’re on too many lists you can easily get bombarded with emails that it all becomes noise and you end up reading nothing. If that’s you, maybe it’s time to scale back a little?
Some of my favorite entrepreneurs include Lewis Howes, Tony Robbins, Ramit Sethi and Jack Canfield but I do my best not to overdo it because I value what they say and also value my time. When I subscribed to a litany of lists and got showered in daily emails, I started to get time-sucked into Youtube and blog wormholes (says a blogger) and in the end, I stopped reading and watching a lot of them.
So I scaled back and probably subscribe to 8-10 lists now. One of them, consulting guru Sam Ovens, sent an email today that bears repeating. In its essence, it talks about having patience in business and that’s good advice. If you’re just starting out or you’re in a venture that’s not panning out as well as you first thought, before you bail and move on to the next thing take a step back and look at things from 30,000 feet, so to speak.
UPDATE I’ve received a few more emails about the leader of 50/50 and his history with people and his business schemes. If the program is still running, please do NOT contact me about it. I am not in this program anymore.
Let’s get this out of the way: I’m in.
That said, after many years removed from being involved in an MLM business model, I pretty much vowed never to get into this type of business again.
It’s not because I think MLM or, in this case 50/50 Crowdfunding, is a scam, in fact it’s the contrary. It’s because of the number of bridges I’ve burned promoting some amazing MLM deal and I didn’t want to go through THAT again. For some people they love the business model and that’s all good, each to their own.
So last week, along comes a business associate and friend, both of five years, who introduces me to this new business opportunity where everyone is doing well in it, financially speaking. Right there, I wanted to run away and even worse, when he shows me 50/50 Crowdfunding, the first thing I say is “this is a money game”.
I’ve recognized in both my successes and failures in the world of online sales and marketing, is the above headline – Solving problems NOT just selling products – is a principle that has always held true. When I don’t apply it, it usually backfires on me.
In my experience, most people who join a direct sales company, start an online business or become an affiliate marketer begin the same way, which is to push the product or service first.
That in of itself is not a crime but there is a balance that one needs to consider. Having a business is about solving problems. First.
How you do that is to add real value first and once you do, everything else will fall into place. You will make more sales if you’re engaged with your prospect by knowing what their needs are and how you can solve their business problems. Most people will trust and respect you more and ultimately buy from you because you’re sincere about helping them.
That said, I mentioned in a previous post that we all love to save money. If you’re just starting out (and even if you’re not) and you need a voice mail service, here’s one I’ve been using for a couple of different programs – and it’s free!
If you have a smartphone (you likely do), you also have an excellent password that is 100% safe from sabotage (you likely don’t).
You’re also likely seeing more of 2FA – short for two-factor authentication – whenever you shop online or in general, work online. 2FA offers you an extra layer of online security.
I’ve been meaning to write about 2FA but got sidetracked then just the other day I was asked if it’s worth the bother of downloading it so the short answer is, Yes! Here’s how it works: You’ll log into a service with your username and password on your computer, just like you always do. Then, you’ll either receive a notification on your smartphone — sometimes a text message containing a code, sometimes an app asking for verification — or you’ll be prompted to plug in a USB security key.
Once you enter the code, approve the login or plug in the key, you can access your account. Easy peasy for you but virtually impossible for a cyber-criminal to access your phone. You’ll need to do this only once for each account on each device you regularly use.
Here’s the catch so bear this in mind when considering using 2FA: you’ll have to reveal your cell phone number. If you’re comfortable with potentially being spammed in the future with text messages, it’s all good. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that would happen but just be aware that it might, who knows who could have access to your number.
That said, the best and easiest way is to have the 2FA app on your phone. I access my affiliate programs and trade crypto currencies from time to time and always use Google Authenticator which gives me a code whenever I need that extra layer of security, it’s peace of mind and it’s free. If you’re not using 2FA you might want to consider it. If you’re on iOS go to the App store or Google play on Android and you can download it there. Here’s a link to more information.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, particularly in my adult life, it’s that we all love to save money. I’ve also learned that sometimes the less you know the better : )
Here’s what I mean: As marketers we use a lot of data by uploading numerous files and videos or presentations and we’ve all been there when too many files slow down our computers. Having extra storage space becomes a necessity.
You’ve heard about Dropbox, Google Drive and other cloud services that allow us to store our files “in the cloud” but it can come at a hefty price depending on how much storage space you need. Did you know you don’t have to pay hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars per year anymore for unlimited cloud storage?
I’ve been using this service for a few days now and I don’t know how they do it but this company called GCloud Drive charges you a one-time payment of $39.95 for lifetime access to unlimited cloud storage. Holy cow. It uses the same Google Drive technology you use every day.
Like I said, I don’t know how they do it but it works like a charm. To get all the info click here.
The subject heading above is bold but when you’re talking about an inspirational and proven heavyweight like Jack Canfield, he gets a pass.
I’ve blogged about Jack Canfield before because he’s made a positive impact in mine and my family’s lives and it bears repeating. The iconic author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series is hosting a transformational webinar titled ‘The 7 Pillars of True Life Transformation’. Among other topics, it explores how to become a positive influence to others in your personal and professional life and how to break free from your inner prison.
If you’re at a place in life where you beat yourself up and question your value this free webinar is worthy of your time. If you’re not and just need positive reinforcement, you should be there too. This event is ideal for entrepreneurs.
