Albert Einstein once said “A perfection of means and confusion of aims, seems to be our main problem”.
The world is set up to suck you into its distractions. Particularly in this age of social media and technology moving at break-neck speeds. This is something you first have to identify is happening in your life then you need to attack it head on.
It’s been that way for me the last couple of months; driving to and fro to a city about four hours west of Toronto and, finally, after looking at hundreds of properties, I bought two! While this was going on, I uprooted my family to a new place, new schools and now new friends. I’m an investor in a new venture too so needless to say it’s been busy and stressful but incredibly awakening; a new, exciting chapter in our lives.
Although a number of things were thrown my way to look at, invest in, read, watch, examine etc, I was focused on the task at hand. Investing in a solid income property or two if possible, was my goal for 2017. Whether it’s investing in real estate or building an online business, if you have distractions that take you away from your goals, it’s just noise. Stay focused.
Focus is your competitive advantage. Your attention, your time is a limited resource. You want momentum and you only get it by putting that focus on any given task and to get things moving, we must block out the world sometimes.
Here’s something I know that will help with your focus, it’s a free transformational webinar by Mr. Jack Canfield, author of The Power of Focus and the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. Register for it here. The event is every Thursday @ 4pm ET/1pm PT. Enjoy.
